THIS IS MORE THAN A YOGA TEACHER TRAINING. IT IS AN IMMERSION INTO YOURSELF, YOUR POWER, YOUR BODY, AND YOUR CONNECTION TO COMMUNITY.
It is a safe and brave space to develop your skills, integrate the path of yoga into your daily lives, and fully support and connect with your communities.
It is a supportive and diverse staff brought together with a curated curriculum that embodies and honors the roots of yoga.
It is a deep dive into self-exploration where you will learn to own your presence, feel confident leading a group, and step out of your comfort zone.
It is a pathway of not only learning to be a yoga teacher but also deepening your own personal practice.
It is an intimate vibe to ensure personal attention from faculty + peers to create a once in a lifetime experience.
It is live lectures + discussions, group sessions, small group breakouts, and individual study on topics including:
History of Yoga. An exploration of the history of yoga, including the history of social justice in yoga. Studying yoga’s history and roots includes Sanskrit and yoga philosophy and the complete 8-limbed journey.
Colonization + Appropriation of Yoga. A deep dive into how we can decolonize our personal practices, our yoga teachings, and our minds to allow for deeper engagement with our larger communities. Gain an enhanced understanding of decolonizing practices and concrete ideas of how to implement such practices into your own classes.
Asana. A study of postures, alignment, sequencing, and mixed-level teaching with an emphasis on variations where all poses will be taught with a full range of possibility. Learn to safely and effectively build well thought out sequences to support all students no matter where they are in their bodies and in their practices.
Anatomy + Physiology. A study of the skeletal system, muscles, joints, and systems of the body. We’ll examine topics such as stabilization, range of motion, biomechanics, mindful movement, contraindications, and common medical conditions. We will also consider how our understanding about the body is rooted in the racist background of Western science.
Pranayama + Meditation. A study of breath practices and the exploration of the philosophy of meditation. There will be an emphasis on approaches to practice and teach both while focusing on contraindications, accessibility, and how to teach them in a trauma informed way.
Also included:
An intensive workshop covering the somatization of healing, the science of trauma, and trauma informed teaching
An additional opportunity of leadership support for graduates including 1:1 mentorships and community supported classes
This is a phenomenal + diverse team who is passionate about supporting and guiding you through your YTT200 journey.

Applying the experience from his hundreds of hours of study of human physiology, Mark’s teaching style aims to get students out of their comfort zone and to safely discover new feelings within their bodies.

keshia eleazar (she/her)
After completing her 200hr yoga teacher training in 2016, Keshia began her teaching journey focusing on Vinyasa and developing a passion for creative sequencing. She has participated in several trainings to expand awareness and honor the Yoga space and community. Keshia has assisted as support faculty in Rebel Rise Studios’ first Teacher Training and Mentorship program.

Jackie has led over ten different 50 hour and 200 hour trainings, has opened and managed 5 brand new fitness studios, and currently leads workshops in injury prevention, mobility, and balance training.

Yoga philosophy propelled Trina on a path of self-discovery, personal growth, and transformation. After the completion of her 200hr YTT, she continued to be guided by her love of yoga philosophy and completed several immersive trainings taught directly by Swami Mahesh during 2020-21, including series on Samkhya philosophy, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Tantric Philosophy, and Western astrology. She became certified in yoga nidra in 2021 then later finished her 500hr teacher training in 2022 with focused studies on the subtle body, yoga nidra, and philosophy.
courtney ronca (she/her)
In 2007, Courtney began teaching after her first 200 hour yoga certification at Avalon Yoga. In 2008, Courtney completed a 200 hour training with Sri Dharma Mittra. Touched by the incorporation of philosophy, pranayama, and asana in the Dharma Yoga tradition, Courtney later completed her 500 hour then 800 hour certification, also with Sri Dharma Mittra. She holds the responsibility of sharing yoga with gratitude, respect, and humor. Honoring yoga’s roots informs her own practice and she continues to find ways to decolonize within it.
